On "Thick As A Brick" ("TAAB 1") one long song had told on both sides of the record the story of the fictional boy Gerald Bostock. On "Thick As A Brick 2" Ian Anderson dealt with the question "What if ...?". In response, he went on several narrative strands to the 40 years aged Bostock. In a unique stage show with spoken texts, which are woven into the music, Ian Anderson took the two albums "Thick As A Brick" on tour.
